Together\, we will explore practical tools to strengthen internal regulation\, grounding\, and adaptability—especially in moments where safety\, dignity\, and belonging feel challenged in our professional environments. \nAbout Engage to Change\nEngage to Change is a Black\, queer\, woman owned collective that centers voices of color\, draws strength from Indigenous wisdom\, and uplifts the lived experiences of BIPOC communities. Their equity and anti racism work rejects scarcity thinking and instead focuses on the strength\, courage\, and perseverance of people with marginalized identities. \nSpeakers\nRakeem Washington\, J.D. (he/him/his)\nCo Owner and Facilitator\, Engage to Change\nRakeem is a Portland native\, attorney\, educator\, and equity facilitator with extensive experience supporting communities through moments of discomfort and growth. His background includes work with the Juvenile Rights Project\, leading the Opening Doors Project at Portland Community College\, teaching courses on race and social justice\, and presenting nationally on equity and coalition building. \nKasia Rutledge\, J.D. (she/her/hers)\nCo Owner and Facilitator\, Engage to Change\nKasia is an anti racism trainer and former public defender with nearly two decades of experience advancing equity and justice. She develops holistic training programs\, teaches courses on race and activism\, and has facilitated workshops nationwide.
