From Melissa:
I graduated in February 2026 from the Thurston County Family Recovery Court program. I now have custody of all three of my kiddos, and I’ve been clean and sober since January 2025. I am also a survivor of domestic violence and I lost my older two kids’ dad to an overdose in 2023. I’ve regained my driver’s license, bought a car, and secured a three‑bedroom, three‑bathroom home for me and my kids. I’m currently in a two‑week training program and will soon be managing my own Subway store. I am also a proud member of Alcoholics Anonymous. I am forever grateful for the opportunity to participate in Family Recovery Court. It not only helped me get clean and sober and reunite with my children, but it also taught me how to set achievable goals and build a foundation for long‑term success as a single mom of three.
